About Braver Spaces
Real women. Real life. Real conversations.
Between us, we've experienced career highs and lows. Confidence and self-doubt. Changed direction. Started again. Made mistakes and difficult decisions.
We're not interested in pretending we've got everything sorted. We're still learning along the way.
Braver Spaces bring together our years of experience, the experiences of other brilliant women, trusted experts, up to date research and most importantly you!
Why Braver Spaces exists
Life keeps changing, and so do we. Sometimes we need help and support to make changes that will make a real difference to our health, to our families, to our careers.
Braver Spaces is a coaching and community space for women, no matter what stage of life you find yourself in.
Whether you choose the change or whether life chooses to change it for you, knowing you are part of a supportive group can make a massive difference to how you think, feel and act.
Braver Spaces exists so we don't have to navigate all those changes alone. Stay curious about what you might discover next.
Braver Spaces is here for wherever you are right now in life and wherever life takes you next.

Meet the founders

"You always have a choice"
I am an executive coach, author and podcaster with over 25 years of senior corporate experience. Having suffered with chronic migraines and burnout I now help women improve their work-life (or should that be life-work) balance and wellbeing. I am married with two adult kids, but can well remember the constant juggle of senior life with motherhood and having absolutely zero time to myself.
That’s why I am passionate about Braver Spaces and helping women to pause, notice what is going on in their life and make changes that make a difference.
Sometimes we need space to think. Somewhere to be honest about what's going on, hear from other women who understand, ask ourselves better questions and work out what we want. I needed that space myself at different stages of my life.
Now I want to help create it for other women.

"The next chapter is yours to create"
If there's one thing life has taught me, it's that we're capable of far more than we sometimes give ourselves credit for, and that it's never too late to choose a different path.
I've navigated my share of life's challenges, from divorce and raising my daughter as a single parent to changing careers from the corporate world into teaching and back again, rebuilding my confidence and finding the courage to create a different future.
Alongside more than 20 years working in communications and change, I've spent much of my adult life exploring personal development, emotional intelligence, mindfulness and how our thoughts and beliefs shape the lives we create. I'm now an entrepreneur and NLP Master Practitioner, passionate about helping people navigate change and discover new possibilities.
These experiences have taught me that no matter how capable or confident we are, there's always something to gain from connecting with others, sharing experiences and seeing life from a different perspective.
That's why I co-created Braver Spaces. I want to help create a community where women feel connected, inspired to keep growing and empowered to make their own choices about what comes next.
Because whatever stage of life we're at, there's always another way.

"Success does not come at the expense of health"
I’ve reinvented my career more than once, sometimes through choice and sometimes because life gave me no other option. Along the way, I’ve navigated redundancy, pregnancy loss, depression and burnout while raising a family and trying to hold on to my ambition through all the messiness of everyday life.
Today, I’m a culture consultant, speaker and community builder. I’ve spent more than 25 years helping organisations create better workplace cultures and understand what people really need from work. It’s taught me that work should add something to our lives, not constantly drain the life out of us.
I’m still ambitious. I want to do meaningful work, build things I’m proud of and keep moving forward. But I no longer believe success should come at the expense of our health, happiness or the people who matter to us. Sometimes we need to pause, admit that something isn’t working and give ourselves permission to change direction.
That’s why I co-created Braver Spaces: to give women somewhere to speak honestly, connect with people who understand and think about what they want next. A place where we can support one another to keep growing, make changes and create success on our own terms.
